SATURDAY 16TH NOVEMBER – SILVERSTONE WOODS

8 hours. An ‘orrible, muddy 6.66km looped course. Do as many laps as you can to earn a wristband with each lap.

The event starts at noon (11am for Ultra runners) and you then have 8 hours (9 hours for Ultra runners), until 8pm to complete as many laps as you can. For each lap you complete you earn a coveted lap band.

Upgrade to our Hell Of An Ultra category to bag yourself a stand-out Hell Of An Ultra t-shirt and a special golden medal should you complete 7 laps (that’s 30 miles!) of mud, in daylight and darkness.

Silverstone Woods is a purpose-built facility on the edge of the famous motor-racing circuit at Silverstone, Northamptonshire.

As such, it also has loads of hard standing access for parking and live-in vehicles.

As luck would have it, the venue is also graced with cracking terrain, woodland, meadow, water features and gloopy mud. Ideal for a 6.66km lapped course from Hell.

16th November 2019 – Silverstone Woods in Silverstone, Northamptonshire

It wouldn’t be a party without a few costumes and we heartily encourage a bit of devilish fancy dress. There will be prizes on offer for the best costumes.

EVENT FACILITIES AT HELLRUNNER NIGHTFALL

On-site registration

Our team will operate an onsite registration process. Rat Race tech tees and bib numbers are collected at registration. Getting the right size t-shirt is therefore not dependent on being a fast runner and finishing early. Don’t forget that YOU WILL NEED PHOTO ID and to fill in our disclaimer form in order to register.

Changing

We will operate small changing areas for participants. However, we recommend that all runners arrive at the event already changed and bring additional warm and dry items to put on for your return journey.

First Aid

Medical support will be present on the course and at the finish. You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions. Please note – do not run with a cold or flu. This can be extremely dangerous.

Drinking Water

There is tap water available in the event village plus one water stop out on course. We advise you bring a refillable water bottle that you can grab between laps.

Valuables drop and baggage area

There will be a manned, secure and covered valuables drop close to the Start / Finish. There will also be an unmanned, uncovered and unsecured bag drop. In this area, all baggage shall be left at the owner’s risk.

All prices include VAT at 20%. An administration fee of 5.99% will be added to all transactions.
– Why have the extra fee rather than just putting up the entry price?

• No-one likes hidden extras. We are upfront about this fee. The fairest way for us to be fully transparent is to separate this cost out and explain it. The Processing Fee has discrete input costs independent of the direct costs that produce the event. We reserve the right to change this fee based on the processing costs at any time.

– Why use the system we use?

• The online payment process is provided by Paypal so it is very secure.

• It offers the opportunity to pay directly from your Paypal account (if you prefer this to paying by credit card or debit card).

• It is the cheapest and best value solution we can find and it is tailored to the events you are entering. We feel it is very competitive in the marketplace, versus the fees charged by other professional event operators.

• It integrates with charity donation web sites so there is a quick and easy way for you to raise money and obtain your fund-raising discount, should you choose.

– This fee covers the costs of operating the following:

• The credit card and Paypal processing fees

• The IT development in building, hosting and maintaining the online entry system.

• The associated bank fees and insurances required to process the event registration fees

• The administration personnel costs of running the registration database

• VAT at 20%

– Why add on a percentage rather than a set fee?

• Rat Race offer such a range of challenges that our price points vary massively. Therefore it is considered the fairest option that all customers are charged the same %age pro rata.

– How can I save money?

• The processing fee will be less the earlier you enter (as it is calculated as a %age) so take advantage of the Early Bird offers to get the best prices across the board.
